Week 5
Our lecturer helped choose the best composition, which was Composition 1, to carry along with our task this week. This week we proceeded to learn more on how to add hue, saturations and more effects to our layers. I found it very useful when I leaned about the clipping mask tool. I made the lower side more on the grayscale colour scheme by adjusting the hues and saturation. I increased the vibrance of the elements in the above section of my piece to create a more lively atmosphere in contrast of the bottom. I also lowered the birghtness in the bottom section to create a more dull tone in contrast to its colourful counterpart.
BEFORE AFTER
Final Work
My artwork highlights the contrast between two distinct worlds: one cold and grayscale, the other full of vibrant life. The muted, rigid buildings represent the starkness of modern structures, while the colourful fish bring movement and energy, symbolizing nature's liveliness. The background places a huge part as the more lively part has swirly lines creating a more fun atmosphere while the other side has a more rigid background. The split between these two halves creates a striking visual tension, showing how colour and life can break through the grayness of urban life.
