Lecture : Digital Surralism
How to Create Surralism Art :
1. Sketch It Out
2. Find Reference Image for the world you are creating
3. Keep asking the question "Does it look Real ?"
4. Go to it in different perspectives to make it more real . Change mediums and ask for opinions
I choose this quote that actually comes from a song that I like because it has left a deep impression and is an amazing way to express being in love with someone. I was very impressed in how the singer could phrase an emotion in a sentence and make it relatable to millions. Though its a but long I can say it still manages to leave an impact to its listeners
My main goal was to create a poster that dabbles with graphic and photography very expressively. I wanted t create a poster filled with elements , emphasizing the lyrics that I choose. I want to mainly use warm tone colours as I feel it would suit it more as I relate warm colours to the emotion love. The background should be a complete different colours to let the warm colours shine.
Rather then taking a too happy vibe I wanted to show various emotions, hence why I decided to make the sky background a bit gloomy to express abit of the anxiety when having a crush. As from my sketch I realised the bottom part has a lot of design aspects I wanted to leave the top part more simple to not overwhelm the eyes. I decided to go with an arch design for the upper side of the quote . Though I want it to be normal and plain I still want to pull the viewers eye towards it as I believe evry part of the quote is important.
This striking poster features the thought-provoking quote, "Wonder if you look both ways when you cross my mind," rendered in bold, elegant typography against a backdrop that combines the metaphorical and the literal. The design evokes the feeling of a fleeting thought—one that you can’t quite grasp, yet feels just within reach. The backdrop might is an image of the sky to represent the height of ones imagination can go hen they have the right inspiration. The background and bold lettering create a striking visual contrast, immediately drawing the viewer's attention to the central message. The inclusion of delicate flowers in the design adds a touch of softness and beauty to the overall composition. The flowers, with their vibrant colors and intricate details, create a sense of tranquility and hope. They serve as a visual metaphor for the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment. The open-ended question posed by the text encourages viewers to reflect on their own habits and behaviors, prompting them to consider whether they always take the necessary precautions.
